Change can be a Good Thing

I was cleaning up the computer files this morning and came acrossed these pictures. It reminded me why I take pictures of so many random things...you never know how long they are going to be there and it's nice to have a record of them.   There are some things I'm going to miss in Disney California Adventure Park and some will not be missed at all.   



I am SOOOOOO excited for June 15th!!!!!

U is for Ursula

It's Monday and that means I'm WAY behind on posting the letter for this week -- good thing my readers are really smart and already know that U comes after T.  I was planning on letter hunting this week but the freakishly hot, humid weather proved too much and I lounged around by the pool instead.  You guys are going to have to pick up the slack and wow me with all the incredible "U" things you found...really...I'm counting on you....

Disney blog hop...Under the Sea

I was looking for our pics from snorkeling on one of our Disney cruise trips but I can't find the disk.  So here are some pictures from girl1 and my last trip to DCA.   It's always fun for me to shoot with girl1 and then see how we capture the same thing.   The first four pictures are hers.

Wow, this weekend was crazy fun!   I had such a great time at the Pirate premiere!  The guests were so excited to be there and the CMs were in top form (as always).   Everything seemed to just work together to make an incredible event.

I'm doing some speciality training at work this week, so blog time will be scarce.   These are probably all the "L" pics for me, but I'm excited to see what you all post!  I'll be able to visit your posts on my lunch hours, so don't forget to leave a link to your blogs in the comment section.

A couple of weeks ago, we had a typical SoCal day.....80+ degrees, bright blue sky and more sunshine than should be allowed in February and I wore a long sleeve black shirt to the parks.    Not sure what I was thinking but this led to me finding a shady spot under the Golden Gate Bridge...which led to me getting trapped behind the crowd that formed to watch the Little Green Army Men....which, of course, led me to snapping several pictures of the show.     

I find myself smiling every time I see Andy's name.   It brings back happy memories of the kids learning to write their names and finding their scribbles in odd places.

Still playing with the 50mm lens.   It's a different game not having any zoom capabilities but it's definitely stretching me.  That's why I've been at the parks so much lately....to practice with the new lens...really....

oh the best laid plans....

I'm sneaking away for a vacation and driving around the midwest makes visiting Disneyland a tad bit difficult.   When I was invited to the preview of elecTRONica, I figured I could get at least a couple blogs out of the experience.     But it's raining today and the powers-that-be decided that cast members wouldn't show up tonight, so they postponed the event.   *le sigh*

So...there's the picture of elecTRONica that you've seen a million times around the blogging world..and I've got nothing.   Well....I actually have hundreds of fun Disney pics and stories but I don't know how much time I'll have to organize my thoughts.  

So to all of you who get to visit the parks this week and weekend, have a FANTASTIC time....take LOTS of pictures....and say "hi" to the Mouse for me!

Glow Fest at DCA

Disney is carrying the color theme throughout California Adventure by adding Glow Fest to the plaza and backlot areas.   It really is as ugly as everyone has been saying.   Hopefully it will look much better at night with all the lights.     It's kind of the "gee, we're sorry you don't get to see the real show over at World of Color" prize.  All the cast members are referring to it as a "rave"...I'm betting that's not the official term for it but it cracked me up.
