Disney Blog Hop -- Winnie the Pooh

Time for another edition of the Disney Blog Hop  ....  this week's theme is everyone's favorite bear--Winnie the Pooh!

Pooh was always girl1's favorite...if you visit the park with her, you will ride the Winnie the Pooh ride..guaranteed!

I'd post the video of girl1 singing the Pooh song when she was 2 but it's on VHS and it would take WAY too long to figure out how to get it from there to here.  So here are some of our favorite shots from the Pooh ride.

Twirling with Joy

Here's a picture that I snapped on my way out of the park a few days ago....these kids are having a blast Twirling with Alice and the Mad Hatter.  Character interactions are always a great source of joy...for those involved and those watching.

Disney blog hop...Under the Sea

I was looking for our pics from snorkeling on one of our Disney cruise trips but I can't find the disk.  So here are some pictures from girl1 and my last trip to DCA.   It's always fun for me to shoot with girl1 and then see how we capture the same thing.   The first four pictures are hers.

The Main Street vehicle drivers are incredibly patient as they deal with crowds.  On this morning, the cast member on the far right was having a horrible time trying to clear the street.  There were people and strollers everywhere and no one was making much effort to move...except for the one mom who swept up her child like he was about to be trampled.

  I love that the child is making sure not to lose his ears.

Blog Hop ...Summer #disneyland

It's time for another installment of the weekly Disney Blog Hop..  be sure to hop over there to find all the fun blogs that have linked up.  This week's theme is summer and I have a confession to make.   I rarely go to Disneyland in the summer.  If I do visit the park during our ridiculously hot months, it's for a few hours in the evening.....

A typical summer visit would be something like this:
Girl1 had a horrid day at work so we decided to make a quick run to the park and have dinner at her favorite restaurant.   (These are the kind of things that prompt us to be at the park during the summer.)

The driver in front of me was driving like an idiot...passing on double yellows..cutting in front of cars and slamming on her brakes and then got stuck waiting for the train just like everyone else....KARMA!

This week is all about Star Wars and Star Tours.  When I read the theme, I quickly realized I don't have any pictures that fit but then I remembered that I did buy a  couple of the Cast Member Star Tours pins recently....woohoo.

Blog Hop - Pirates! #disneyland

Everyone is so excited about the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie and who can blame them?!  The world premiere at Disneyland was incredible.  One of thegreat things about working at the parks is the array of costumes I get to wear.  This was my adorable pirate one:

I probably won't get to see the movie until at least Monday, but I'm can't wait!!!!

I'm Jill (penelope peabody on twitter).  I'm married and have three grown children.  We homeschooled our kids, so I've been a stay-at-home mom for many years.   My husband is a contractor and we own a landscaping company.  The birdies recently grew wings and flew to their own nests and I started working at Disneyland (absolutely most incredible place to work!!!!)  I love musical theatre, cruising, photography and gardening.

I've been blogging for a few years about life in general with a lot of Disney posts thrown in over at A Bubble in the Stream of Consciousness.   When I started helping my daughter with her photography business, I realized that my picture taking skills were not what I desired.  I began visiting Disneyland once a week to practice.   This resulted in a multitude of pictures that needed a home and That Disney Blog was born.

I'm currently doing an alphabet theme on the blog and will be on the letter "K" tomorrow.   You can read more about the theme on the Photo Themes/A is for Apple tab at the top of the page.   I'd love for you to join the fun!

Blog Hop...not at #Disneyland

Welcome BlogHoppers!   This week we are sharing Disney-ish pictures that were not taken at the park.   This was hard for me....almost all my Disney pics are from a park or a cruise.   I finally decided to share pictures of our Christmas tree, but blogger has different ideas this morning.   So here's a link to a Christmas post that shows our adorable tree topper.
