Visited the parks yesterday with my niece for a few hours.   Of course, we had to stop by and meet Merida!

Lots of characters hanging out in fantasyland yesterday...

they were yelling instructions to the people on the Mad Tea Party...

Here's a picture that I snapped on my way out of the park a few days ago....these kids are having a blast Twirling with Alice and the Mad Hatter.  Character interactions are always a great source of joy...for those involved and those watching.

Free-Range Princesses #disneyland

I love that the princesses can now be found wandering around the castle again.   Just before this picture was taken, Sleeping Beauty was skipping up the pathway with two little girls.  Ariel ran over and asked if she could play too.  I wish I could have seen the little girls' faces, but we were too far away.

We continue exploring "red" at the disney parks with everyone's favorite mermaid.   I'm so glad that some of the princesses have escaped the confinements of the Princess Faire and are now running free around the park again.

Celebrate!

It was obviously meant to be....a post about the Disneyland non-parade.   I'm not really a fan of the celebration thing but I couldn't escape it yesterday--no matter when I hit Main Street, it was there.  So I finally gave in, found a spot, and played with my camera.  I'm trying to get over my fear of the manual focus

Here are the "balloon" characters.   Tomorrow I'll show you my favorite pics of the other characters in the "parade/celebration/block party/whatever it is."

why I love Disneyland #6 -- Main Street

I love the random performances on Main Street. Yesterday I caught  Donald, Mickey, and Minnie having fun with the band.   Here's Minnie:

My favorite 5 year old faced his fears on Monday and met Mickey Mouse.   He was sooo proud of himself!
