Today's Favorite - Jack-o-Lanterns #disneyland

A couple of things struck me when I saw these two fellows.   First was how cool is that Yoda? Second was the contrast between the traditional pumpkin and Yoda.  It really demonstrates how far the art of pumpkin carving has come.

This is the last entry in our Disney Themed Photography "pumpkins" theme.  You can find out how to join us over HERE.  There's still time for you to post your pictures!

Be sure to come back Friday to see next week's theme!

Disney Themed Photo - Red - Ariel

We continue exploring "red" at the disney parks with everyone's favorite mermaid.   I'm so glad that some of the princesses have escaped the confinements of the Princess Faire and are now running free around the park again.

Find out how you can play along with our Disney Themed Photography over here.   Can't wait to see your "red" pictures!

hidden treasures

tucked away in that crazy winnie-the-pooh ride is a remnant of the previous attraction.   it's such a kick to hear people's reactions when they see it.

i tried to find a picture that doesn't give away the actual location.....next time you're at the park, see if you can find them.

Pirates..

When we were at the parks last week, an odd thing happened.   On almost all of the rides, we ended up in the front row...it was very strange but pretty much awesome.   It's much easier to take pictures if you don't have to shoot around some enormous guy wearing a Goofy hat.

he's baaack

It's funny how everyone missed this guy.   I heard rumors recently that he was back but haven't had a chance to verify them.   Yesterday, we made it a point to ride POC and, sure enough, there he sits.....

Disney Railroad

Anyone else ride the train every time they visit the park?   It's a nice way to relax for a little bit and rest your feet.   Here's a couple shots from my last ride.
Still playing with the new camera and working on correct settings for low light pictures.

Rivers of America....part two

Back on the boat with some pictures of Tom Sawyer's Island/Pirates' Lair.

The Mark Twain is still being refurbished but you can get a good look at it as you pass by.

And I'm always up for a picture of the Stars and Stripes:

Rivers of America...part one

There is water in the rivers again, so of course I had to go check it out.   The Mark Twain is still being refurbished so I took a trip on the Columbia.    In all the years I've been going to Disneyland, I can't remember ever riding on it before.

I have to say "kudos" to Disneyland on this refurbishment...it looks really nice!   There was a fun couple who had brought a map of the "new" river attractions from their local paper.   She missed the live horses and asked the deckhand about their location.  He said the horses don't like the the train and so they are hiding.

I took too many pictures for one post, so we'll probably be visiting the river all week.

Today--on the dock:
